From Her Students…

August 11, 2010

Now many, people will tell you how wonderful Terri Carter’s, aka Aunt Terri’s classes are. They will tell you how entertaining they are, how casual they are and how much they enjoyed the time in class. While all of this is true, I wanted to highlight one of the other well known and important facts about Aunt Terri’s classes….how well they prepare you.

Like most , upon recommendation, I was told to take my Real Estate Sales Associate pre-licensing  class with Terri. I did…and for a 7 day, 8 hour a day class, it was very entertaining  and enjoyable.

I paid attention to my RRR notes and my S notes. I attended each day and focused on the RRR review on the 6th and 7th of the class. With the usual fear and apprehension, I took my end of class test. Everything that Aunt Terri has you focus on allowed this test to be passed with almost ease (thanks only to Aunt Terri’s open, enjoyable, but thorough prep).

Then came time to take the State of Florida test. Most people, rightfully so, tear off right after the class and take the State test. That would be the smart and right thing to do. Not for me, 12 months passed by and I finally had to get in and take my State test.

I remembered that Aunt Terri included a State test cram session with the pre-licensing class. I called, got scheduled and felt that even after 12 months; Aunt Terri’s style of preparation would knock off the dust and have me ready for the State Exam.

Well I missed the cram session of my own accord. Life, work, kids and the flu season will do that.

By now , with the polite persuading of my future employer, I had already set the date for the State Exam. I figured no big deal, I would lock myself in a room for a day or two, read all my RRR and S notes and be fine. As I started to review the notes, I realized the sheer volume of material we had so easily covered 12 months earlier. I freaked out. There was no way I would get through all of this and no way in heck I would pass the State Exam. I tried to call and re-schedule the test, but it was already within the 24 hour no-cancellation time frame. I finally conceded that I would take the test, do my best, get a taste of it, fail the test and then take the cram session with Aunt Terri and take the test again.

I stopped studying, figured a good night sleep and less stress would be better; plus I already conceded that I was not passing on my first try (something I had really wanted to do and something everyone else in my future office had done – no pressure right).

So I take the test the next day, as I am going through it, this is all coming back, it is making sense. I start to get up into the 40’s and 50’s and start thinking, hey , I may just pass this bad boy. I finished off the 100 questions feeling particularly good, still not confident that I could have passed. No way. I took the class OVER A YEAR AGO.

So I sit and wait to head out and get my results until no one else is around. I was going to get enough embarrassment from friends, family and future co-workers for not passing the first time; I did not need any extra from strangers.

As I anxiously wait for my results (the lady ahead of me that failed took several minutes to get all her paperwork); my paperwork comes out of the printer pretty quickly. I figured another bad omen, give me the bad news. The lady replies solemnly but with a smile, you passed, here is your paperwork to submit to the State. In my head I yelled. Not only did I pass on my first attempt, but without a cram session, with very little studying and after taking Aunt Terri’s class a YEAR Earlier.

Now I certainly do not suggest that anyone else try it this way. But I do feel very strongly that due to Aunt Terri’s preparation, her great method and style of presentation the material and her magical 6th sense of what material to hone in on allowed me to know and retain this information, the right information, and pass the State Exam on the first try over a year after taking her class.

I would highly recommend Terry Carter to ANY Real Estate Professional for any required class. Pre-licensing, post licensing, continuing education, Aunt Terri handles them all with the same fun and informative style.

Best Regards,

Rich Mehalick, Realtor

Terri,

A Student who’s name rhymes with Smanders that lives in the NW ¼ of the SW ¼ of the NE ¼ of a Section of improved property that is comparable to another property that has a 3 car Garage, was able to pass the Florida Division of Real Estate exam that is required by the DBPR and administrated by Pearson Vue because:

  • He took Aunt Terri’s class and enjoyed her stories
  • Aunt Terri had extra handouts and many recent visions
  • Being a type 4 personality, he always sat on right side facing the instructor
  • He never tried sticking his tongue to a frosty stop sign

Thanks Terri for the interesting class. Your knowledge of the subject and your method  of teaching is outstanding.

Terri,

I did it, I did it! I passed the state exam (on the second try) on 9/11 of all the dates. You know I will remember this date. See, Everything happens for a reason. Anyways I will be looking for the Post course in the near future. Thank you for everything and I will be seeing you.

Terri,

What can I say?! There is no way to describe this 5 Star Teacher. Aunt Terri will tell you time and time again about the state exam. (READ THE QUESTIONS) It is really important to do so. I took the test and was so nervous the first time that I did not need to read and reread the question because I thought I would run out of time. NOT SO I still had over an hour left at the end. I failed the first time by 5 points. I studied the book more and went 4 days later and retook the test and passed. I just told myself to relax and read the questions twice. I know this sounds stupid but the test is really easy if you read and reread the questions. I was a total Spaz in class, if you don’t believe me ask Aunt Terri. She is the best and I highly recommend her school. She makes the class really fun. I know that I will be in her classes for the rest of my Real Estate career because she is younger than I am so I hope to retire before she does. I know that I’m rambling but Aunt Terri will help you in any way that she can.

Thank you so much

Dear Terri,

I enjoyed your weekend class for the renewal of my license.

Since I am “new” to the area, I particularly liked meeting so many “new friends” that was a wonderful  exercise. The workshop format gave us time to interact and reinforced the knowledge gained from the introductions. I found myself thinking about Rich, Annette, Glenda  et al this morning. It was nice meeting as many people. I owned/directed “the fairside School of Real Estate” in Fairefax Co., VA from 1972-1981, I clased the school because if you remember interest rates were double digits and Real Estate agents were hanging up their licenses due to the markets, you are probably experiencing the same now. There is not really a demand for new agents now.  I hope your business continues to be successful and you can survive this market.

Thanks for such a nice experience.

Sincerely,

Kathleen Edwards

Well I finally felt ready enough to take the state exam yesterday and I passed, Yippee…I spent about 10 days prior to the exam studying approx 4-5 hrs per day.  Felt I needed to review almost all the info, and did all the practice exams several times.

Hope everyone is well.

My recollections and recommendations on the exam pretty much mirror what Len said in his message, following his taking the State exam.  Read all the question, all the answers and remember to breathe.

I want to thank all of the other brokers for the past 3 days we spent together. I was unsure as to whether or not to take 6 days out of my work schedule to do my required Broker Post Licensing course. As it turned out, I don’t believe I missed any business at all, but instead got to know seven other brokers that I am sure I can do business with in the future. I would like to specially thank Aunt Terri from First School of Real Estate.  Terri is an excellent teacher. She started off my real estate career as my first instructor in July of 2004. Anyone needing a real estate course, choose Aunt Terri!

Terri,
I took the state exam yesterday, and thought that I would tell you of the experience.  First of all we were stripped searched to make sure that we didn’t hide any : ) ; cheat notes, formulas, illegal calculators etc.  After that refreshing experience was told to go in a select a spot.  I took the very first one that I saw because it looked like the area where all the confetti, balloons etc would come down in when I got my 75th correct answer.  I knew that I wouldn’t score a 100 because I had made up my mind if there were questions on how to determine how many acres were in a section that I would close my eyes and guess, because I can’t figure the things out.
I got through the first 75 questions with no questions on the section/acres but no bells, whistles, balloons went off or came down.  So, at that point I increased my intensity of studying each and every answer / question etc.  When I finished the 99th question still no hoopla and still no questions on how many acres were in SW 1/4, NE 1/4, SE1/4,NW1/4.  I was heavily sweating by this time and I decided to click on the Continue button and go for the last question.  What should finally appear – the question on calculating acres.  I shut my eyes and picked answer “A” which was 10 and clicked the mouse.  Nothing happened so I figured it was over for me.  But it wasn’t going to be too bad, I was looking forward to setting up the next appointment and getting to come back for another strip search.
But da**, when I exited the room the lady behind the counter told me that I couldn’t come back – that I had Passed.
Anyway – just wanted to says “thanks” for making your classes a fun but great learning experience, I’ll be shoving people in your direction should they ask about a great school.
Thanks again, good luck in Vegas.
P.S.  don’t swing from the drapes.
Sincerely
Jim Sperry

Aunt Terri:

On behalf of Kathryn and I, a very big “Thank You.” Six weeks of night classes, three nights per week. Then the Cram Course. Who was looking forward to that? How time flew.

Next big hurdle, the State Exam. Test day arrived at 8:00AM, we were dreading it. 9:15 AM, Kathryn finished, I’m older, so it was 9:25 AM when I finished. We walked out of the test center with that piece of paper that said “PASS.” How did we do it?

You made it possible. You made in informative. You made it fun. What a great Teacher and more importantly, what a Great Individual. Those six weeks will remain with us through out our Real Estate careers as Business Brokers. Not only did we pass the exam on the first try, I feel we made a new friend for life.

Again, thanks for all of your knowledge, support and patience you demonstrated to Kathryn and I. For anyone that needs to pass a Real Estate exam, First School of Real Estate will top the list of recommendations from us.

Best regards to you and Tom.

Thank you so much for your knowledge. You have a proven method of learning that is incomparable. I actually miss coming to class with you. Thanks again for your guidance and inspiration. You sparked the flame of the mind of the individual that will change the Real-Estate game forever.
I just wanted to make sure that I let you know how much I appreciate your knowledge. It’s a proven method of learning. I took the state exam today and passed it. First times a charm. I could not have done it without you. Thanks to Tom Tom, Gary and Aunt Terri; you guys are truly the best. I’ll recommend you guys to anyone looking to pursue a successful career in Florida Real-Estate. See you in the Post-Education course.

Dear Terri,
Thank you so much for teaching about real estate in such an interesting way!  The lectures, stories, and notes were an invaluable way to learn about the business and to prepare for the state exam.  The first time I took the exam, I got 74 problems correct.  So close!!!  A few days later, I took the exam again and passed.  Those exams were the hardest tests I ever had to take, but I felt well prepared for both of them.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!Sincerely,
Karen Giles

Terri’s instructional methods definitely were a plus in learning what is normally a “dry” subject. I would highly recommend anyone who is interested in taking the Sales Pre-Licensing Class and the corresponding Cram Course, do so with The First School of Real Estate! I passed the State Exam on the first try! Thanks Terri!

Hi Terri,

Just a quick note to say that as a 59 year old without any real estate experience (I’ve never even bought a home), I found your class to be enjoyable and informative. I was well prepared for the class exam.

Your cram course and notes made me extremely well prepared for the state exam, which I passed on my first try (with lots of time left over).

Terri, this is just a short note of thanks. It’s been a year since my pre-licensing course and I just was never able to coordinate a cram course visit with my schedule. Since time was running out I decided to register for the exam anyway. I did that on Friday and the exam was administered on Monday. In between I studied my RRR’s and S notes with the attachments and did the practice test to identify any chapters that needed more work. I am happy to report that I passed the exam. I am equally happy to thank you for making it possible. You presented an excellent course and provided us with the information needed to succeed. I look forward to seeing you during the post-licensing course if not before. Thanks again.

Warmest regards to you and to Gary,

Sincerely,

Chris Roland

Hi Terri and Gary! I took and passed the state licensing exam (the first time :)) in July of 2006. It is now April of 2007 and in nine months I have sold over 9.43 million dollars in real estate property. I really appreciate the head start on my career! Your class has really made a difference in my every day operations. I’m looking forward to taking the 45 hour post licensing class when you offer it again. Thank you for everything!

Dear Terri,

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the great instructor and human being you are. I had a great time in class. You made everything so simple and fun. I got my eligibility to take exam last Tuesday, I reviewed the material and Friday took the test and passed. I was very confident and calm and in 1 hr 15 min, I was done!!!

Thank you again,

Hello Aunt Terri!  I was in your sales associate class the end of January and also came to the cram on March 7th and 9th.  I took and passed the State test the first time on the 16th of March.  It was tough.  I really wished I knew my score because I have no idea how well or bad I did.  Nonetheless, I am now licensed and I couldn’t have done it without you.  You made some very dry material, bearable.  The week flew by and I plan on seeing you for the post course in the next 2 years.

Thank you again,

Hi Terri and Gary, Just wanted to drop a line and thank everyone. I passed my sales associate exam this morning and I am over the moon. Without a doubt you guys gave me the knowledge and confidence to do it. Words cannot express what a great job you do. I’ll never forget you.

Terri and Gary,

It has been over a year since I passed my Sales Associate State Exam and I still have the same appreciation for how your instruction helped me pass my exam on my first try. When I decided to get my real estate license, I was very nervous about it since I hadn’t challenged myself for quite some years. So needless to say, the pride I felt when I passed gave me confidence in myself and for that I am grateful. I am happily working in the commercial side of real estate and still look back on all you taught me. To anyone considering taking this course, “Listen to Terri”! “She will teach you HOW TO PASS THE STATE EXAM”!

With many thanks,

Rhonda Butler

In taking the FREC I and then FREC II courses, the experience with First School of Real Estate was enlightening, educational, and was essential to successful completion of both courses.

Thanks to Terri and Gary for all their hard work, insights, and effort to make their students succeed. Without their patience and experience, it is unlikely I could have passed both courses on the first attempts.

Best Regards,

To anyone considering quality education in Real Estate:

I recently attended Terri Carter’s Real Estate Sales Associate and Broker’s Pre-Licensing classes after some years in “retirement”. I must admit I was somewhat nervous entering that small, cold testing room. But I knew I was prepared. A couple of hours later the feeling was that of accomplishment, success, celebration and gratitude – Thank you Terri and Gary!

Terri Carter’s technical training combined with her expertly presented real life examples provided the best preparation for the test I could have asked for. Gary’s conscientious advice and support was the perfect complement. I’m looking forward to their continuing education courses.

I’m certain I re-started my life with the right teaching team. There’s a lot to learn in Real Estate so make sure you contact First School of Real Estate, do your part, and don’t look back.

Continued success,

William Ramirez

Terri,
I took the State exam yesterday for my Brokers license and I am very grateful to you for having me so well-prepared.
You are, by far, the best instructor I’ve ever had the pleasure of being a student.  The class was fun while still learning, and I witnessed how you made sure everyone was comfortable in all ways.  What a wonderful personality you have, Terri.  Such a gift.
I look forward to being in your Post License class later this year.  You are the very best.
Thanks again!!

Dear Terri,

I was in your day class last month and just took the cram course. I want to

thank you for an enjoyable class. I didn’t have very high hopes for the class

being all that exciting, but your zany expressions and anecdotes lightened the

mood and kept things fun. I passed the state exam on Saturday and will be

getting started in business brokerage. I’ll be back for more classes in the

future. Thanks and best of luck!

Dear Terri,

I want to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent instruction you provided me in the Real Estate Brokers Course and helping me obtain my Brokers License.

If anyone were to ask me about the courses I have taken with you, I would say:

“As an instructor, she knows what she’s teaching inside and out, and knowing that she’s very credible made me confident that I had the right teacher.

She never shamed or belittled anyone in the class…she truly understands and has compassion towards her students.  You can truly feel the love, dedication, effort and understanding, and her wanting each and every one of her students to pass.

I have a B.A degree, and in all my years of schooling, I’ve never met an instructor that conveyed information so clearly.

Finally, she has the best sense of humor that helps make the courses interesting.  And if you listen carefully to her stories, there’s a meaning in every one that will apply to the test, and you’ll never forget the material/information.

Just the love, comfort and confidence credited to ‘Aunt Terri’ was a great foundation for my passing the State Brokers exam.”

Thank you, Terri.

Sincerely,

Hi Terri & Gary,

YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!

Thanks to you and the grace of God, Lyn Hall & I passed the Broker’s exam this afternoon!  The exam was challenging but we followed your advice and did not go back and change any answers.  We were both totally amazed when we finished and heard the words “Congratulations”.  My head is still spinning.

While we are very excited about passing and not having to repeat the exam, we are sad that we will not be sitting in the front row of your “cram for the exam” class next week.  We will, however, be attending your next Broker’s Post License Class.  Save us a seat on the front row.

Thanks for all your help.  We had a great time in your class!  YOU ARE THE BEST!

Take care,

Lisa

Dear Terri,

I just want to thank you so very much for your exceptional teaching performance.  I passed the State Exam today and I can’t tell you what a wonderful achievement that was for me.  I praise you for this accomplishment because without your strong knowledge of real estate and your incredible teaching skills, I could not have done this.
I look forward to taking your Sales Associate 45 Hour Post-Licensing Course coming up in September with my daughter as well.  You might remember, she was also a previous student of yours.
Again, thank you for providing an exceptional school that I am very proud to have been a student of.

Dear Aunt Terri,

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!! Your class was not only informative but actually enjoyable and has allowed the both of us to pass the state exam on the first try! We both felt very confident after taking the class and attending the cram courses that you offer. We will take a short break from studying but will return to your class for the Brokers exam within the next 6 months even though we have moved to Ocala. When you get the best instruction, there is NO substitute, we WILL be back. Again, thanks for all your help and enthusiasm!

Hi Terri,

I just wanted to tell you how thrilled I am. I took your pre-license course in October 2005 and passed my exam on 1/14/06- (first time!!) – here at the Melbourne testing site. Thanks so much for making my class experience so enjoyable and entertaining, while actually teaching me something! What a concept! And what a blessing you are! I’m Looking forward to more of the same in your post-licensing course.

Ever so grateful,

Hi Terri!

I passed the state exam yesterday and couldn’t have done it on my first attempt without your cram course!!! It really helped me pull through a majority of the questions.

After the 2 evenings of your cram course and a whole next day of reviewing and practicing the math problems, I felt calm and ready and actually excited to take the exam! (Am I sick or what?)

Anyway…I hope to see you for my post licensing in March.

Thank you soooooooooooo much,

Barbara Simpson

November 17, 2005

Terri…. I Passed!!!! On the first try!!!

Hearing others speak about the difficulty level of the state exam, I had prepared myself for failure. I figured the first try would be a practice run. But you prepared me for success. THANK YOU Terri for all the hard work and dedication you put into this class and for caring so much about each of your students. During the test I kept hearing your voice, read the question carefully, then consider each answer….. I followed your instructions and I PASSED!!! What a difference this will make in my life. I am so grateful.

My advice to anyone considering this course is …. attend ALL classes, don’t be late or leave early, turn off your cell phone, listen to Terri’s instructions, Do as she asks, ATTEND THE CRAM, follow Terri’s advice, and you’ll pass the state test on the first try.

Not only do you get the best instructor in the business, you also get one of the best entertainers as a bonus…. be prepared to laugh your way to success!!!

Thanks again Terri!!! I love you!!

Hi Aunt Terri,

I just wanted to thank you for the most entertaining business class that I have ever taken.

I was in the late June early July Sales Associate Class. Even after 3 months of waiting for DBPR to Ok my application for exam it was a breeze.  I did a quick review of my notes from class and took the book final again. I found the exam very easy as I was well prepared for it by the Greatest Teaching Machine known to man. (That’s you in case you were wondering.)

If you don’t remember I was the one on your far right that remembers all of the old songs.

I look forward to seeing you soon as I will be relocating to Brevard County by years end and plan on taking the Frec 2 course very soon after I arrive . I have a great new job in Viera and a wonderful new friend in you.

You are the Greatest

Dear Aunt Terri,

Just wanted to let you know that I took the state exam this morning for Sales Associate and PASSED!! Thank you so very much! Your course in August was great and even though I had to wait until today to get a date for this test I remembered your voice!….telling us how you spent some time stuck to a STOP sign by your tongue!!!! Just kidding. I didn’t have anything way out of the ordinary on the test, most of the items you covered were there. Brilliant! Please let me know when you are doing the Post course as I would like to register for that.

Again, many, many thanks.

Dear Terri & Gary,

Thank you for the comprehensive preparation and enjoyable class this past July/August. I passed my state exam on the first try on September 18th after studying and taking your cram course and reviewing all the handouts. You’re information is “right on the button”. I’ll be seeing you in March for the post-licensing course.

Hi Terri,

Just a quick hello and a sincere message of THANKS!

I passed the test 4 weeks ago and I am thoroughly enjoying my new career as a Realtor! I found that the testing center in Ormond Beach provided a good atmosphere for taking the State test.

I enjoyed the class with you and all of your fine helpers.

Ciao,

Hi Terri,

I took your course from July 6th-Aug 12th plus the cram course. I just took the state exam on Sept 2nd and PASSED!!!!

I was so nervous. Everyone I talked to said it took at least 2 tries before passing. (they must not have taken your course!!) Having the Exam Manual also helped.

Thank you,

Vicki Crosthwaite

Hi Aunt Terri-

I just wanted to THANK YOU so much for such a GREAT class. I took your class back in June/July and was very overwhelmed at first and thought for sure I would never be able to complete this. You have such a great teaching style that really made class a lot of fun. I am very happy to say that I took my exam yesterday (8/27) and passed on the first try. I can’t remember ever being that nervous!! Your cram class was sooo helpful and I thoroughly recommend it to everyone taking the exam.

P.S. Please be sure to turn off your cell phones!!

Thanks Again.

Hi Terri I Just wanted to let you know that I passed my state exam on Wednesday. Just want to say I never really enjoyed school in my younger days – was too busy listening to music and trying to be a rock star. Thanks for a great experience and the great stories, and most of all a great education about real estate.  It was so cool when you would mention some of the old songs and artists I grew up with.  Passing this exam meant a lot to me, more then you could ever realize.  It wasn’t  only to become a real estate agent, but to prove to myself that I could do this and pass.

SO THOSE WHERE THE DAYS MY FRIEND – I THOUGHT THEY’D NEVER END

THANKS – THANKS –  THANKS
John Lenza

P.S.  You’ll be seeing me again when I come in for my Broker Course.

August 4, 2005

Hi Aunt Terri,

I wanted to mail you a handwritten thank you note, but I didn’t see a physical address on your site, so I’ll succumb to technology and email you my gratitude!

I took my real estate state exam on Monday of this week. I studied all of the information you gave me during the crash course as well as the S notes from class. I studied in the order you suggested regarding your cram extras. I felt like I knew most of the material while I was taking my test, but since everyone fails, I kept telling myself that it was my first time and I wasn’t going to pass, this was just a practice run so I’d be more comfortable the next time around. When I came out of the room and the lady told me congratulations I asked her if I could hug her, she agreed but since she all but 80 pounds and about 5’3″ I almost broke her in half.

I called Jason (Shinpaugh) immediately and screamed in his ear and he spread the word around our office that I passed. I can’t tell you how apprehensive I was about taking the test because so many people I know have had to retake it so many times. But honestly, if people would just listen to you and follow your instructions about studying, they would be squeezing the life out of the skinny lady too!

Thank you so much for your time and effort and all of the detail you put into teaching your class. I’ll be signing up for the post-licensing course in the near future. But for now, I am so relieved to have passed my test!

Thanks again,

Holly Woolsey

Terri,

I want to thank you for bringing out that happy positive person that I always was, out again. I was very unhappy for many years and never thought that I could go back to school and do something that I would really love and enjoy. Ever since I moved to Florida I knew that someday someone was going to help me again.  That day came and I don’t regret taking this course. I was so ready to do this and I can’t thank you enough. Now my sister can see that I did it, that I passed the exam, with your help. She told me that I wasn’t going to pass it. I was hurting but the lord was there to help me by giving to me the best real estate teacher.

God bless you always.:)

Terri and Gary…

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for the excellent preparation you gave me for my Real Estate Sales Associate test. I took the test this morning and I am glad to tell you I passed on the first attempt. I was concerned about how questions would be worded on the exam, but your Cram Course was excellent and I recommend it to anyone before taking the test. It really taught me HOW to take the test, and how to read the questions thoroughly to understand what they are really asking. I meet with my new employer/broker tomorrow morning, and am looking forward to a great future in Real Estate. Thanks Again!!

Dear Aunt Terri (and Cousin Gary),

You are the best! I was in your April 3-9 course and just finished the June 7-9 Cram Course for Sales Associate. I took the exam yesterday June 10th and passed! It was easy because you prepared us so well. Your method of teaching and great personality have made my story a success story! Thank you so much!

Dear Aunt Terri,

Thanks for the great course. I was in the Feb-April 05 evening class. I Passed the State Exam yesterday 6/4/05 on the first try. The S notes and the real life examples were very helpful. I wish my classmates the best. Now I am off to find an employer.

Best Wishes!

Terri,
Just a little note to let you know how I am doing.  I went to take the state exam for sales associates today and I PASSED on the very FIRST try.  I am so excited, I thought it would have taken me a couple of  tries.  I took your class at the end of January and was just procrastinating about the state.  Your “S Notes”, and dreams were very helpful.  Continue to tell your class to study their notes, read the questions slowly, absorb every word, then eliminate the definite wrong answers before going for the one you believe is right.   It is a very tricky exam.  Thank you so much for all your teachings.

Hi Terri: …”Yea !!!! ” Just passed the state exam yesterday (May 14th). Your evening classes from Feb-April fit my schedule perfectly. Thanks for your “S” notes. Concentrating on those portions of the book helped for the variety of questions that can be thrown our way. Good luck to my fellow Feb-April evening course students.

Thanks especially to Terri for being such a great instructor… and for keeping the class very lively… even during some of the most tiresome times… like 9:45PM!!!

I got through the State exam on the first try thanks to Terri. There was a point during the class that I thought I’d never be able to “remember” so much information… but Terri has a great way of helping all of us through those most difficult moments… Thanks aunt Terri!!

Mach 31, 2005

I am sitting here tonight looking at my active license from Norris and Company in Vero Beach which was just sent to me. It all goes back to Terri and my sales associate course in October 2004.  I sat there after being out of school for 25 plus years trying to figure out if I had the motivation and the confidence to enter into an unknown field with a loss of study skills. Well, rest assured, at the age of 50 I was in good hands in this entry level class; more voices than Robin Williams, more powerful than promotional speakers…faster and funnier than any teacher I had with subject matter that may send you into deep sleep.  Terri kept me alert, interested and excited about the overwhelming amount of information that needed to be absorbed.  I look forward to my continuing education and I thank her for where I am.  It’s all about a good teacher

Terri,

I have friends that want to get their real estate license that live down in Pompano Beach, Florida and also in Port St. John. I told them that they had to go to your class and my home is open to them to stay while they take your class. I took your class the end of January, Cram class in February, and received my Real Estate License in March. I am now employed with Century 21, thank you for keeping me focused in your class with all the acts and laughs you did in ways to make us remember.

January 7, 2005Terri, I just wanted to let you know I passed my test yesterday.
I also wanted to relate to you how much I enjoyed your class in October.  You have a great gift of relating to people and making learning fun.  You also have the most awesome personality of anyone I have ever known.  Thanks for making all of this process an enjoyable one.
I am new to the area so if you have any suggestions of companies to look at, I would appreciate any help you could give me.  I hope to see you again when I take my brokers class.
Thanks so much, Sharon Styron

Terri,

Hi Aunt Terri,

I PASSED!!! First Time!!! I’m excited because I atteneded class back in August 2004. It took forever (well only 75 days)to be approved for testing. Of course I had to do some studying, but

the real concern was due to the 3 month lapse since the cram. My sincerest thanks to you and your staff. Even through the hurricanes you managed to teach and teach well. I’m looking forward to recommending your class to anyone interested in being successful on the first try!

See you at Post-Licensing!

Thanks again,

You truly have a gift for teaching and motivation.  You have a great spirit, and you are a pleasure to be around.  I look forward to taking your continuing education class.  Have a great holiday season!!! You’re the Best.  One more thing!! The exam prep book and CD is the best. It was the best study aid for the test.

Terri,

Well, you can add two more of your “graduates” to those that have successfully passed the state exam on the 1st try.  My co-worker Chuck Wiltshire took the state test on Monday and passed.  I completed my test this morning and passed as well.  A young lady that had failed the state test asked if anyone ever passes the first time.  The proctor pointed to me and then asked where I took my course.  I know you already have an incredibly wonderful reputation and it looks like it will continue to grow!

I will always RRR remember the best instructor I have ever encountered and am actually looking forward to my post-license course.  I can always use a dose of your humor and your love of life!

Thank you again for everything that you do for us, your loyal students

August 30, 2004

I attended Terri’s daytime sales associate class in January, 2004, took the cram course in late May, and passed my state exam in April. I have been working with my broker-employer since August. I would strongly advise attending the full cram course  and don’t let too much time elapse between your classes and your state exam.

The pre-licensing course gives you a lot of information to absorb on an accelerated timeline, and you are exposed to a lot of unfamiliar legal/real estate terminology.  There were many moments where I was certain that my head would explode from too much input and my hand would fall off from taking notes. RRR you sure?? Yes I am! :-) But “Aunt Terri” relates very well to her students.  Her easy going, friendly personality and distinctive sense of humor helped put me at ease. Her lecture style is also very entertaining.  You have to see it firsthand to understand what I mean, but once you do, you’ll never forget it.  Real estate CAN be a fun business! :-)

My advice to future students is:  bring lots of highlighters, extra notebook paper for note taking–Terri will ask you to write stuff in the margins of your textbook, but sometimes there isn’t enough room, and you want stuff to be legible for when you study—and a pencil sharpener that doesn’t make any noise. And always, always, ALWAYS trust “Aunt Terri”. There is a method to her madness.  She will de-mystify the often mysterious world of real estate, and she will guide you down the right path for success not just on the state exam, but your career in real estate.  Trust the process, relax, be patient with yourself, and you’ll do fine.

If anyone is considering a real estate school, look no further! If you are going to invest in yourself, then invest in the Best!  Terri Carter’s school is it!  Look no further!  I am so happy that I attended First School of Real Estate!  I passed on my first try and I truly believe if I had not attended Terri’s school I would not be this happy!  I checked around and she is in a class by herself!  It was the hardest test I have ever taken, but I could not have done it without Terri!  Thank you so much Terri, you are the BEST!!!!!

I just completed the July 10th Sales Associate pre-licensing course with Terri and have to say that she was absolutely fantastic. She is extremely enthusiastic and positive about the real estate industry and that attitude excites and motivates her students. Her teaching style is very down to earth and she explains the information clearly and offers tricks to assist the students in remembering what they need to. Besides all of the above, she is funnier than any stand-up comedian I’ve ever heard on TV. You must experience her class to understand how very talented she is. As I was told by several people prior to taking the class, “she is the best”, I now too can say that 100%. She is simply the very best. EXTRAORDINARY.

Hi Terri,

As always you had the class under a spell. I, as always actually, appreciate all you do for your students and I was just a spec on the wall in your class that can appreciate you being prepared and attention to details. When you see the class is a lil’ subdued, one of those great lil’ stories will pop up to uplift the class. Here, Here Terri to you and your family, yes they do help and I know you know I really enjoy Real Estate at its best, and you are totally at your best in the classroom! You have my vote and my recommendations to any and all of the individuals preparing for a Real Estate License in the state of Florida. I have sent my son now to take your upcoming August class for Real Estate Salesperson, I am totally comfortable with what he will do in your class. P.S. This is just a note to let you know in my opinion, you are the Best Real Estate teacher in The State of Florida. I cannot express my gratitude to you and First School of Real Estate for my passing the State exam on the first go round, I give you applause for your wonderful teaching methods. I have to tell you that my friends Connie, Claudia, and Jack also passed on the first go round because of your class. I will recommend you to all who ask where to attend Real Estate School.  Thank you again and again!!!

Hi Terri – This is Jenn, Remember me? I originally took my course at ANOTHER school and failed the state exam twice. I came to your cram and passed it the FIRST time! It was because of your course, I know. I didn’t even look at the material from the other school. All I did was study after your course, the night before, took my exam in the morning, and passed! I felt really comfortable and confident in the answers I chose this time around, whereas the two previous times I was a wreck during the exam because I just didn’t have the answers. I have a couple of friends who are coming to your course hoping for the same outcome. We are sure it is you that made all of the difference. Thank you for everything. I listed a house the next day and am now working on selling it. So….THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Hi there…Just a quick note to let you know that I passed the test today! Thank God!! I am soooo tired of studying…lol

The material was just as you taught us..the questions were mostly stories that made you think.  But thanks to you..I took it slow and did fine.

I just want to thank you again for a great course.  This is my 3rd real estate course (sales person and broker tests in NJ) You made this course enjoyable…while teaching us everything we needed to know to pass the exam first shot!!

It was a pleasure…and I look forward to seeing you again in the future for all my continuing education classes..and probably the brokers course.

Hello Terri,

I am looking forward to doing my fourteen hours with you again this year. For those curious types who may actually read these testimonials, I say the following:  I have been licensed in Florida since 1970, so you know that means I have taken a lot of fourteen hour CLE courses.  Terri’s classes are always informative and pleasurable.  It is because she has a way of drawing the very best out of people.  I find that many top sales people openly and freely share their ideas in her classes and are regulars, just like me.

God Bless,

I thought Terri was a nut she went through that material so fast that I still have a sore hand and 3 dead highlighters. But during the cram courses I began to understand that she was preparing me for the real thing. The test was no joke and without Terri’s class I would never have made it. I passed on my first try, Thanks to Tough Terri!

Hey Terri-

This is Drew Tucker, I just wanted you to know I passed the exam last weekend.  I don’t know how, it was very difficult.  I was a little taken aback when I started studying.  I took the course that started August 24, and was not able to sit for the exam until November 8.  Thank you so much for the wonderful job you did teaching the class.  I can’t believe how much of the information came back to me as I went through it.

Sincerely,

Terri, I took and passed the written exam, thankfully on the first try. The 3 weeks of waiting were very tough.  Your class was great & I couldn’t have passed without your “RRR” & “S” notes or my wonderful study partner who encouraged me all the way.  The state exam is tough you seriously have to study & understand the p&p’s & the law.  The math was much easier than I had stressed over. The wording is tricky, read carefully & take your time.  Good Luck & don’t stress it if you have to take it again. If I can do it than you can!!

I’ve been in real estate on and off for over 20 years. I let my Florida license lapse and had to start from scratch again. I waited over two months between Terri’s Pre-license class and the date to take my license. Since I was experienced I figured I could study hard the night before the test. I of course promptly fell asleep that night and woke up to a hurried drive to Orlando. No amount of experience can get you through the Florida test on your own, so upon arriving at the test site some 20 minutes early, I sat in the car and studied my “RRR” and “State” notes until the absolute last minute. That SAVED the day! There were at least 3 “math” questions that I was able to check off very quickly and probably another 15 or so questions that I would have gotten wrong had not had those notes. Thanks Terri, your study notes were spot on! The tricky parts of the questions would have gotten me for sure!

Terri, I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed a class so much!   I admit I was a bit apprehensive since I have not taken a class in over 30 years!! Terri Carter, THANK YOU! You are such a joy! For once in my life I can honestly say that learning was Fun.  I highly recommend Terri’s salesperson pre-license course. She will put you at ease and have you laughing so hard, you may fall off your chair. Words cannot express the gratitude that I have. I passed the class exam and look forward to the 2 day cram course for the state exam.

That was the hardest exam I have ever taken. The closest I can compare your teaching technique to is a stand up eclectic comedy routine. Thanks to you, I passed it on the first try.  I have two RRR notes for all your new students, if you don’t study, you won’t pass and take your time during the state exam. I can’t get the deed restrictions, easements, leases and liens out of my head, Terri.  It’s stuck there forever.

Terri’s class was awesome.  I just finished the Salesperson Pre-License course on March 3rd and took the state exam on March 12 and easily passed the first time.  Terri taught me everything I needed to know to pass both the course and the exam.  She’s fantastic.

Terri’s Real Estate Training Classes prepare you to be the best! She instructs the text in such a manner that you actually think that going to class is FUN! In addition, you graduate from the program knowing not only the text but how important your representation and performance are to the clients you represent. As a student of Terri’s in 1992 to prepare for my real estate license and 1994 student for my Real Estate Broker’s License, I give Terri an A+!

Thank you Terri!  I passed the real estate salesperson test on my first try because of you and your teaching techniques.  I was recommended to you by a friend of mine with Century 21.  She was right, you’re the BEST.  I couldn’t have done it without your training.  I can’t wait to start selling real estate!  My best advice to your students, STUDY everything Terri tells you to…the state test was not easy, but if you are focused and prepared, you can pass it the first time.

Thanks again Terri!

I am currently employed in a Real Estate Firm that has over 100 agents.  In all the years I have worked for not only the current company but also another Real Estate company, I was told how wonderful Terri was at teaching.  I found out for myself this past 2 weeks.  She is wonderful!  If you want to learn in an atmosphere that is not “boring you to tears” you must let Terri teach you.  I know I learned from her what I would never have learned from a “standard” class room.  She makes learning fun and I would tell everyone, and will tell everyone interested in real estate to attend her class!  Thanks Terri for the wonderful job teaching not only myself, but the entire class of over 50 folks!

After taking the salesperson pre-licensing course in April and the Cram course in June, I did not take the state exam until September.  Since so much time has passed since taking the course, as well as just getting my license in New Jersey, I thought I would have trouble with the state exam.  After studying the notes and reviewing the quizzes received during the Cram, I was well prepared and passed the state exam on the first try.
Amazing.

Besides being a wonderful person, Terri Carter is a brilliant teacher. I was so prepared it was amusing. Write down everything she tells you. Her word is gospel. I am now working for an Orlando branch of one of the largest RE firms in the country. Since you have to take these courses, why wouldn’t you take them with Terri? Thank you for everything Aunt Terri, you rock!  ….Oh yeah, I passed the first time, and the class was recommended to me by a guy who passed first time. All hail Terri!

Terri,

I want to thank you for one of the BEST learning experiences ever.  Your role playing, group tasks, and reviews all hit home for the Post licensing class.  A funny thing happened each night after class instruction.  I would go over the chapters covered during the day and the teaching technique really worked.  I would relate/remember the material that was put in real life examples. Without saying, class participation and a little effort on my part made up for a great team in successfully passing the course. You made learning fun!  Thank you!

Not that you need extra pressure, but when you are the fourth generation holding a real estate license you best pass the test on the first try.  If not for Aunt Terri, it would have been much more difficult and CERTAINLY much less fun.  Terri makes learning truly enjoyable.  I just finished my third course under her instruction and look forward to seeing her again for the real estate broker licensing course.  You don’t just “take a class” with The First School of Real Estate, you begin a long and prosperous friendship and professional relationship. RRR you sure?  Absolutely!  Much thanks for everything, Terri!

Terri,

I want to thank you for yet another great class.  Over the years (beginning in ’92 I think) you’ve always made it fun, interesting, and at the same time educational.  From my salesperson pre-license thru my broker’s post-ed, I’ve always enjoyed your classes and wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Dear Aunt Terri,

Just a note to say that my fiancée and I took the Sales Person Pre-License course with Terri Carter and passed the state exam on the first try.  I felt well prepared by the way the material was presented.  Never a boring moment!  Terri is a resolute professional and understands what you need to pass.  She does not teach a test, she teaches principles that make up the test and I took it in 1:20 minutes because I was prepared by the best in the industry!  Thanks Aunt Terri … you are above the best!

I’m so excited!!  I just passed the state exam on my first try!  You taught us the importance of knowing the material inside and out by using “tricky” questions on your tests.  This really paid off.  The exam had the same type of questions.  I studied hard and kept remembering things you said in class.  Now I’m ready to start selling some real estate!

Thanks again and Merry Christmas!

Terri Carter is the absolute best!  I took her salesperson pre-license class almost two years ago and passed the State Exam on my first try!!!  Real estate has been very good to me – I owe a lot to Terri!  Although tears were shed over the math portion of real estate . . . I now have a bookkeeper who deals with that.  Leave it to the “math experts” I say!  Terri – thanks for your help, confidence and support.  You are great at what you do!

NO ONE can teach a ‘Class’ like Terri Carter! She makes it FUN and Interesting no matter how frustrating and overwhelming it can be! She is always willing to go the extra mile in helping you pass with the knowledge and wisdom ..”made simple”.  When I took her class 8 years ago, little did “I” know I would go on to become a highly successful Realtor in the Melbourne area working for the largest franchise in the World. RE/Max is like owning your own business and only the Top Agents usually work there. But Terri told me right from the beginning I would be a “winner”…she had “Faith in me”…and became my “forever friend”. There is no one I would recommend to teach a class BETTER than Terri and she gets every referral student I have ever known and is an A+ in my book.  Thanks Terri for making me the success I am today! I couldn’t have done it without YOU! ( well I did have to draw a few cartoon characters occasionally to get the legal language and the right link to sink in! But I passed on the first time!)

Keep up the great work!

About two years ago I decided I needed a change in my career. I had always been interested in real estate so I flipped through the yellow pages and came across First School of Real Estate. I took the class and passed my state exam on the first try. I then obtained a sales position with Maronda Homes where I tripled my income in the very first year and I expect to do even better in the coming years. I have to thank Terri for helping me get prepared for my state exam and for making the learning experience enjoyable.  Her class is a lot of fun and so is she. I highly recommend First School of Real Estate.

Hi Aunt Terri,

Just wanted to write to you to tell you how much I appreciated all you did for me in Ocala, I was so worried in the beginning about all the info you were having us underline and give that an RRR. I will always remember you and Peggy, Vicki, edgy, oie, and noi. I am actually looking forward to the state exam. that is how much confidence that you have given me. Thanks again and if you need to I will be glad to give your course an A+. You have a very good day and until we meet again MAY GOD BLESS.

I PASSED, THE FIRST TIME. Thank you so much Terri for all of the care and concern that you show toward your pupils… I am and will be forever grateful to you.

I look forward to taking continuing education with you, and hopefully having a very long professional relationship with you. Terri, you are a wonderful instructor, it is your calling, truly. And beyond that if there were more people on the planet like you, well, it would be a much better place to live.

Thank you so much for helping me through this trying time. And now that this simple thank you has gotten long winded and rambling, I just wanted to say THANK YOU! I WILL NEVER FORGET WHAT YOU HAVE TAUGHT ME. Not only about real estate, but also about being a better person toward others. THANK YOU.

My wife and I attended Terri’s state exam prep course. We had no real estate knowledge. We thoroughly enjoyed the class. It was kept interesting and humorous by Terri and also very informative. It was not easy, but the state exam wasn’t either. After Terri’s class and cram session, we both felt VERY prepared for the state exam. The results showed, we both passed on the first try. Thanks Terri.

I’m sure you’ve guessed that I passed the real estate exam.  That was the most difficult exam I have taken in my life, but I made it, thanks to you.

Your teaching methods and approach to learning took a very difficult curriculum and made it much easier to handle.  I am amazed how much information you were able o get us all to understand and retain during the seven day accelerated course.  And “cram weekend” is the best investment I ever made.  I toyed with the idea of trying it on my own and boy, am I glad I didn’t make that mistake.

I’ll be back for my post-licensing course and continuing education classes required prior to the renewal of my license.  Thanks again for helping me get started in my real estate career.

Marion and I would like to thank you for your excellent CRAM COURSE in preparation for the state real estate Brokers exam.  We both felt that your Cram Course was a major contributor to our successful passing of the Broker’s exam.  We felt that your personal touch and your choice of materials made the course very representative of the materials on the exam.  It also prepared us for the type of questions presented and improved our technique in answering them correctly.

We both felt that the course was invaluable and should be taken by both salesman and broker candidates.  We have, and plan to continue recommending your licensing course to our friends and associates.  Your school can be proud of your teaching and preparation of Real Estate Professionals.  Thank you again for being a motivational teacher and a good friend.

To Terri:

Who says you can’t have a million laughs and be serious at the same time?
Who says you can’t get a Florida Real Estate License in 10 days?
Who says you can’t ace the class exam with a 97 and then pass the state exam?

Not Me!  I’d never say any of those things… What I would say is… Thank you Terri.
It was a very special week and you are an incredible teacher.  If you ever get tired of
RE in Brevard County, you could do standup comedy in L.A.  My biggest fear was of falling asleep after lunch, but we were too busy having fun.  So… that week, I not only got my license, had a birthday, made new friends, had fun, went shopping everyday at lunch, but also enjoyed the best junk food selection out of your machines.  It was unforgettable.

Thank you,

Dear Terri,

I am writing his letter to tell you how very pleased I was with the Real Estate Course I recently took under your instruction.  I thought the quality and detailed instructions were superb.  After twenty years of being a homemaker for four sons and a husband, and moving at least 18 times (I’ve lost count), this was my first attempt at trying to accomplish something just for myself.  Needless to say, I was very apprehensive and a bit nervous about taking the course.  On the first night you made me feel confident enough that I knew I could fulfill my goal, which was to pass the state exam.  Well, last week I took the state exam and I passed it.  I can’t really explain the feeling I have inside, it’s such a great feeling of accomplishment.  Now I have another goal–to get my brokers license.  I know with you as my instructor, I will truly be able to get there from here.  I think your warm, caring personality, plus your knowledge of the subject and your ability to relate that to your class is exceptional.  Thank you for everything and I wish you much success and happiness in your future.

Cordially,

Terri,
I took the state exam yesterday, and thought that I would tell you of the experience.
Sincerely

Dear Terri,
Thank you so much for teaching about real estate in such an interesting way!

Hi Terri and Gary! I took and passed the state licensing exam (the first time :)) in July of 2006. It is now April of 2007 and in nine months I have sold over 9.43 million dollars in real estate property. I really appreciate the head start on my career!

Terri,
I took the State exam yesterday for my Brokers license and I am very grateful to you for having me so well-prepared.

Dear Terri,

I was in your day class last month and just took the cram course. I want to

thank you for an enjoyable class. I didn’t have very high hopes for the class

June 21, 2006

Take care,

May 20, 2006I passed the Real Estate license exam on the first try!!!  I have to say that the information provided by Terri and her “gang” was awesome and extremely accurate. The whole experience with the FIRST SCHOOL OF REAL ESTATE was a fun, painless and a highly educational one… TERRI; YOU GUYS ROCK!!!  I am looking so much forward to the Post License Course. See you there… And now let’s make some money!!!Harold Figueroa May 18, 2006Dear Terri,

We all had so much fun in your class and you are such an excellent teacher! I passed my state exam on the very first try! It was challenging, I did have my worries, but I passed!

Thanks!

Glenna Sifford

Dear Aunt Terri. I just wanted to thank you for the outstanding preparation you gave my husband and me for the sales associates class. We attended the cram session, and thanks to you, I am happy to report we both passed the state exam the FIRST time. You’re wonderful, and the class was fantastic!

Thank you,

September 22, 2004

P.S. Terri,

Sincerely,

The class was FUN ( laughter is good for the soul! ), and I really learned a lot.  More importantly, because of Terri’s attention to detail and teaching skills, I was able to pass the state exam first time through. Thanks, ‘Aunt Terri’!

Terri,
You are TOP Notch!!!! I had a lot of fun in your class and can’t believe how much I really retained.  I took the State Exam on 9/5 and found out last night I passed!!! I owe it all to you.  You’re the Best!  Thanks again!

Your technique allowed me to easily pass the class.  I only hope that your Cram Course will provide the same guidelines for the State Exam.  I have faith…in you!

Your Salesperson Pre-License course was “right on the money”. I easily passed the State exam the first time. Your cram class was exceptionally helpful.

Terri,

I’m so excited!!  I just passed the state exam on my first try!  You taught us the importance of knowing the material inside and out by using “tricky” questions on your tests.  This really paid off.  The exam had the same type of questions.  I studied hard and kept remembering things you said in class.  Now I’m ready to start selling some real estate!

Thanks again and Merry Christmas!

Thank you for getting me through the Real Estate Sales Person Exam, I passed first time.

A word to anyone about to take the exam.  Study, Study, Study.  The exam was a nerve racking experience!  If you know the material you will be o.k.  but don’t think you can turn up and wing it!!
Take notice of what Aunt Terri tells you.

Thanks again Terri.

Terri,

Sincerely,

Sincerely yours,

Cordially,

Terre Lynn Richey
